7th July - Rowhedge Regatta

I take Blake and Colin out first thing in the morning. We've been invited over to Keith and Yvonne for their annual barbecue to celebrate the regatta. Hannah, their daughter, has volunteered to pick us up so that we can both drink and is due at 11.30.

Its dry but the grass is long and has all the rain from the night before trapped in it. Poor Colin and Blake get fully soaked. Colin also struggles in the long grass. He keeps losing sight of Blake an dhas to stand on hi shind legs to try and spot him. Very cute but it must be knackering for him!

Pascale and Alex turn up to pick up Colin whilst we're having breakfast. We leave Blake with the Smiths next door - they owe us a couple of favours as we've looked after their dog a couple of times recently.

Hannah turns up bang on time and we head over to Rowhedge.

It s a bit of a strange day weatherwise - very changeable but at least it doesn't rain! Good company. Lovely food. Beer flows. Wine does as well. Keith does sausages and burgers on the bbq and later on Yvonne has prepared chicken kashmiri, lamb curry and chili con carne with all the respective trimmings. Its great and just too much but good fun.

As we stroll out to get our cab back home they light up the fireworks to see us off!
