More rain!
Paperwork to be sorted through on the ICT side plus some bills for the refurbishment project.
We meet with the ICT guys to go through the databases they are supposed to support as part on the contract. We're gradually getting there. Its a long slog but it'll come out in the end.
I take some more of the Essex CC folk round their floor. Another fully appreciative lot!
I'm trying to get Essex CC to tell me what panic alarm system they require in their meeting rooms. Apparently they have regular meetings with families where anything could kick off. They need a panic alarm so that people can call for support if needed. I've been trying to get a specification from them but can find no one to help on this. I eventually find someone who is willing to take a decision but doesn't know what's required. I put together a spec and do some research on the web. Come up with an idea which gets accepted but none of them want to order it. I get asked to do it.
I meet with Steve the site manager. He's only doing the job part-time now as he has another major project. I'm a bit pissed off by this as we're not getting the service i 'm expecting. It also means that no one is chasing the suncontractors properly. We go through the snagging list and work out the elements which still need to be cleared out. We also discuss the rest of the programme and the dates we've noted.
Its good to see him again and to have his help sort in this stuff out.
Marian makes the same offer as yesterday but its not too bad tonight so I decide to take the exercise and walk up the hill.
