6th June - D-Day and back to work

Back to work: I make phone calls and send emails to chase the builders for outstanding work on the building. There are still a lot of works outstanding and I'm quite pissed off that the work seems to have stopped.

I write to one of their directors to try and get things moving and to get the documentation we're awaiting and need.

I also put together a welcome article for our internal magazine and email newsletter for our new IcT partners.

Its quite quiet in the office as its half-term and there are a lot of people off. This is good as it gives us a chance to settle in to the new IcT contract and to get processes bedded in.

I take the opportunity to write up notes of the various meetings we've recently had. There are about six of them - a couple where I volunteered to take notes and the rest where I've chaired but insist on writing up the notes - gives me control over the actions, who does them and who's also accountable.
