I'm a bit hacked off with this blogpost system. I'd drafted the 19th and 20th and saved them locally but they've disappeared. Its spoilt my perfect record to date of getting something in for every day. I'll go back at some point and re-create them from my diary. In the mean time I'll press on.
Today is the longest grey day. It started raining in the early morning and continues for the best part of the day! It makes it feel even longer!
I have a bunch of Essex CC people to walk,'round the second floor. They're due to move in soon and are dying to know what their new accommodation will be like. They really like what they see but of course they're only seeing an empty floor. It will be quite different once their furniture and desks are in place. Aywa, in the meantime they're happy with it and are looking forward to the move.
I have a chat with Chris and Wendy about the car parking layout. Once these people are in we will lose 65 parking spaces. We have a lot of people who are nervous about this. They have been accustomed to being able to park here ever since they joined the organisation but can't rely on this now. I think we'll se a big change in working patterns with people coming in very early to try and get a parking space and leaving early as a result.
I d some more chasing to try and get the snagging works completed. I'm not having much joy here as the sub-contractors pull their heads in and avoid playing ball.
I do some chasing of people for their input to the last stage of the refurb plan. I want to get this sorted out now ans we have to organise other companies to come in and move equipment before the works start.
