Out for our Saturday walk: me and Blake. I take my monthly pics of the field and oak tree.
Leisurely breakfast whilst we tackle the crossword. I then get out into the garden to do so work on this much neglected space. The weather has been too wet for me to get out there so I have to take advantage of any good weather - not helped by our temporarily busy social life!
I prune a couple of the shrubs and find a shrinking hydrangea as well as a languishing rose! Hopefully, their exposure to the sun will help them flourish.
The shed roof hs been leaking - the roofing felt has perished. I've bought a new lining but don't have time to cut it up this weekend. I rig up a temporary cover using pool liner! It works a treat!
Phil and Bren have invited us over for dinner to celebrate Marian birthday, this is the first weekend we've had a chance to get together. Phil picks us up and we head over to their place. However, they've got electrical problems so the stove is not working - well one plate is but its not enough to do the cooking. We load everything into boxes and bags and head back to our place with the dinner.
Its agreaa evening. Brenda rises to the occasion and takes it in her stride. I'm very impressed! Its a lovely evening. We haven't spent much time on our own with them recently so its good to catch up.
