The carpenters turn up to sort out the doors and automatic door closers on the second floor. We immediately have a problem with the server room as the door closer hits the door. Back to the drawing board as the solutions in front of us need a re-think. The carpenters are also in to set the new vision panels on the doors to the staircases. They do the second floor but apparently run into a problem with someone in the building and don't complete the first floor!
Whilst I'm walking the site, the blinds manufacturer sends their installers in. I show him where the last four blinds need to go and leave him to get on with it.
I draw up a snagging list of problems with the floor and map them all out on to a floor plan. The problems run from major things like the vents not yet installed in meeting rooms, lights and light switches not working through to broken electric sockets and to painting incomplete. Basic stuff. Just seems really shoddy.
