The entrance mat to the building has been done! Its the first I notice when I walk into the building. Yippee! They've been talking about doing it for several weekends and its now done.

However, they haven't done our big canteen/informal meeting space/tea point area! The asses! They really are donkeys. I'm so hacked off by this. Steve has sent over his right hand man and he fixes the door to the area, offers to fix the ceiling tiles in place so the room looks useable and to do a stroll around the doors and check the automatic door closers.

John tells me that the TV isn't working. We go and have a look and it isn't picking up all stations. However, it gets ITV which is the main station as it has the England v France game which is on tonight and which we want to make available to the people working late for the council meeting tonight. He decides to retune it and we lose all the stations. I organise for an indoor aerial that we can use temporarily.

I then have complaints from the ICT guys that their desks were dusty and crap was left on the floor. I feel like walking out and starting all over again!

I sit down with the people involved in the last part of the refurbishment. A fairly major one where we are doing the Reprographics, Post Room and Cashiers areas. We work out some of the issues and start making plans for it.

We ge the indoor aerial for the tv and set it up. Its still not right but its good enough to watch the match. I put a note round thenbuilding to bring people up to date with the refurbishment programme and the fact tha the area is now open.
