Its a bit of a drizzle in the morning. Quite miserable but better than being soaked I guess!
In the office we have decided that the free water being dispensed from the vending machines will be stopped as we now have separate taps providing hot and cold water with the cold water being direct from the mains and therefore drinkable. The nonsense emails generated as a result are unbelievable. I really wonder what people drink at home. Most people are OK about it in the main but there is a handful who always try to push it over the edge. We should really ignore them and see what happens but someone eventually responds and we end up with some great email tails. We finally agree that we will provide plastic cups for people to have cold water from the taps in the teapoints!
We are still having problems with the roof and with leaks into the second floor. Steve has been looking at alternatives but we're still stuck with a proper solution. It would appear that the low maintenance option recommended to us is not as good as it was racked up to be. Very annoying as we though that this would have been behind us by now. We're going to have to watch this one.
I spend the afternoon going through paperwork. Our IT team are doing some work on the servers this weekend and this means that some facilities will not be available. It impacts on some people but I am the told that the Conservatives have an away day in the building on Saturday at the same time as we are planning to do this work. We have a re-think and I figure out with the IT guys how we'll handle it.
