We have a tele-conference to discuss the problems we are facing with the staff transfer. We're all relieved when we're told that the new company, Capita, will take the hit and will carry any financial risk. They also confirm that the cut over is on target for Friday!
I set up a message to send out to all in the council about the new ICT company to to tell them about the new procedures for reporting problems, asking for help and change requests.
I go off and put the window checks in place for the newly installed windows. We won't pay for them unless we have jointly signed them off with the installation company. The are a useless bunch of w@@@@@@s and i really hate dealing with them. I completely avoid them and agree with John that he'll do the sign off with them. He's a star!
Head off for London and stop off in Chelmsford to have a beer with Paul. He asks me to check with the others in the investment club on what they would like to see done about the shares - sell immediately or hang on for a while? I reluctantly agree. After the shit I had last time I'm not sure how far I'll get.
Sure enough! I raise the issue with the others in London when I ge there. No one wants to deal with it or to ask the others. Oh well! I'll do the same as last time and just do it. The only problem is that its not priority for me so it'll get done when I have time and when I remember - I'm writing this a week later and have just remembered that I still haven't done this. Oh dear!
A quick Macdonalds - their milkshakes are still excellent! - and head back home.
