Out with Blake. Its hot and sunny and warm. I wear sunglasses and a hat - amazing when you consider that this time last week I was wrapped up in a coat and wearing gloves!
Ray and Rita are supposed to be coming over for lunch but they phone while I'm out with Blake and make excuses for not coming over. Marian is quite disappointed as she had prepared the food the day before and we have a load of chicken sitting in a marinade in the fridge. We get in touch with Pascale and Alex, explain the situation and invite them over. We're both over the moon when they accept.
I order the food for the party on-line from Sainsburys for delivery on Thursday. Should be OK for keeping the vegetables and greens fresh and als for keeping the meat.
I get out and do some more weeding before Pascale, Alex and Colin turn up.
We have lunch on the bbq with some beers and wines for me and Alex but soft drinks for the girls. Chat and stuff before we go and watch the Monaco Grand Prix which I've recorded.
Pascale is driving so she checks out the back of her eyelids whilst Alex and I finish off the wine.
The Grand Prix is the usual train that Monaco reverts to with the only overtaking being done in the pits.
We continue with our chat and conversation before they need to head off. Lovely day, nice surprise and great to spend time with these three.
