We meet with our ICT suppliers to review the work done on the phone system. The prognosis is good and the fix installed yesterday seems to be successful at halting thensymptons. We still need the full cure but can manage for the moment.
I set off to meet my ex-BT mates in Chelmsford for lunch. I've known Ram since '78 and we've always got on well. Healthy respect. Paul I've known fo a shorter time only about 20 years but when we worked together we were fellow managers and worked very closely. I like to think that we were an effective team and I genuinely like him. We meet every once in a while fo lunch (we all live in the East). I'd also invited Ken but he's supporting his daughter who's doing GCSE's and needs moral support.
We have a few beers and sandwiches. Chat and catch up with each others news. Ram's looking good - stopped working but doing alot of gardening. Pal is still working but gone down to a four day week.
After lunch I go into Chelmsford and do some shopping fo Marian's present. I've already bought the man one but I need to ge a few more bits and pieces to mark the occasion.
