Nice sunny day. Blake and I have a great walk.
I spend some time thinking about what my next project could be. I decide that I'm going to learn how to write apps for the Android operating syste,m and write an app for this tablet. I don't know what as yet but think I might start with a simple expenses package to keep track of spend from a bank account. At the moment I use a spreadsheet but think it might be interesting to write one from scratch. I know there are many and free in the outside world but the challenge is writing it. I state writing a mental spec and also start figuring out how to find out more about programming the Android. These walks are great for that kind of activity.
After breakfast I get outside and do some more work in the garden.
We visit Ray and Rita and have a pleasant surprise as Catherine and Mark are there with Rae, Rawnie and Will. Chat and have tea and cake baked by Rae. We see some of her portfolio of architectural designs - most are very good and some are stunning - courtesy of Mark's iPhone. Also meet Ruby who is Ray and Rita's new rescue dog.
Back home, Marian bakes and decorates a cake for Pascale's birthday tomorrow. I finish off the work I've been doing on the patio. I still want to do a couple of bits and pieces to tidy it up but the bulk of the work is now done.
BBQ for dinner! I do some research on writing for the Android whilst I'm cooking it and having a beer - talk about multi-tasking!
