1st April - April fool

Mum's last laugh on the world - she died on All Fools Day! I always thought that she was the ultimate joker.

Its sunny but not warm. I don't make yesterday's mistake and make sure I'm well covered. Blake and I have the place mostly to ourselves. We see the farmer and his dogs but he turns back when he sees me. I wait for him to get out of dogs reach then continue back home.

After breakfast I spend most of the day in the garden. Doing weeding, straightening out the patio, getting the furniture out for the summer, sorting out the pots and doing some more planting in the beds by the side of the house. We've had them for a few years and done very little with them. I want to bring them up to speed and have them looking good.

I've found that two of our young fry in the pond have died for some reason. They look healthy and I can't see any obvious signs of distress. Its a bit worrying but he rest of the fish seem healthy enough. I hadn't been giving them much food recently as I thought the balance in the pond had been established. However, this makes me think that it isn't so I start a new feeding regime I.e. I start feeding them again!
