Ceiling finished, undercoating nearly complete. Next stage is the walls. We have looked at several options and have put samples up on the wall. Its a good thing that we do as we have seen 2 or 3 charts and thought that there were 2 really good colours. However once we had put them as samples on the walls they became obviously unusable. The one we finally pick is strong but not overpowering - Marian has an idea that it has to provide a better contrast with the white above the picture rail than the current one. Its a good idea and the colour we've picked works really well.
We're on track with my mental schedule. I'm expect in the major work to be complete tomorrow - we'll see.
I speak to Steve at the office. The refurbishment is on track and he's happy with progress - if he's happy then I'm happy!
I also have a quick scan of my emails and reply to a couple of urgent ones as well as responding to a couple from Cherie.
Marian also picks up Petal from next door. Warren and Mirabel are going to France fo a while and we're looking after their dog - little cocker spaniel. She and Blake get on OK with each other and its a bit of a mini-holiday for them.
