It's Friday. Its warm. Its sunny. I'm happy. Looking forward to the weekend!
I meet with the guy looking after the finances in the construction management company and read though the invoices being presented by the contractors. Things are getting tight. We try and anticipate the surprises that are likely to ambush us in the next two/three months. The biggest surprise is now likely to come from the roof.
Steve tells me that we might be able to lay off the asbestos roof tile removers earlier than we originally anticipated as there are less than we thought. This is great news as these guys jerked us around and I wanted to get rid of them almost as soon as they started. All seems to be in place for the power down this weekend and the good news is that we will have our good electricians on duty at the time.
I spend the afternoon sorting out documentation of various types - finance, people, IT, bits and pieces - quite boring but its gotta be done.
