Valentine's Day

I find a card from an admirer on the doormat. It's hand-painted and looks suspiciously like Marian's. That's fine. At least I know that she won't give me grief cos' some admirer sent me a card!

Weather's getting better and the train journeys are now quite smooth. My book's greeting better and the tale grips me. I wish I could say the same about this bloody cold.

In the office, I set the light level for the person with the biggest complaint at the moment. Its quite a low setting and I still think that she should be re-positioned. Useless management!

Steve and I meet with British Gas to discuss the installation of solar panels. The Climate Change Officer has left it to us to sort out as he is on leave. Not a problem but it transpires that he has made promises to them that are unrealistic and downright stupid. We work through it with them - the timescales are tight. We need to install scaffolding in two different places, install over a hundred panels, connect up to the network and get the system registered by 3rd March. All this assuming that the weather stays good enough for all this work on the roof. No pressure then!

I have been working through the finances on the project as an off-and-on exercise during the day when I get a chance. I finish it off at the end of the day and find a few discrepancies. I've got some more work to do on this.
