Gradually feeling better. Bodily functions improving - what lease can you say about a cold in winter!
Cold wind, as its damp its noticeable but the book is great and the train journey is fine - I'm on the last chapters of the book. This is actually pretty academic as it is only the second book in a series of 7 and the last two haven't been written as yet. I just hope that the author is healthy and lives long enough to finish the series. I should also point out that the average book is 600 pages long so its not trivia to read and I'll bet anything that it takes a massive amount of time and effort just to produce one chapter.

In the office I go and have another look at the lighting issue. God! This is boring.

I go to the progress meeting with the construction management company. They are now talking of a delivery on 21st May. This is some 8 weeks later than I want it. Got some bad news to deliver to my management board! They are not going to be happy bunnies. I need to pay very careful attention to the finances as i have been doing over the past few days. The project manager mantra is time, content and budget. The content is OK at the moment, the time is f@@@ed so the budget needs to be maintained.

I have a chat with our IT team on the security system. Its being installed as part of the refurbishment programme but being run by our Audit Manager. Largely out of my hands and causing daily problems for us. None of us are happy about the situation so I set up a get together for the following week.
