Another day in Paradise (with apologies to Phil Collins)

Glorious sunny morning. Nice stroll down to the station without getting wet. Result!

The streets are a weird mix of clean (washed by the rain) and full of detritus (general bits and pieces of human rubbish flushed out by the wind)

I can just guess what the phone calls into the council are going to be like today. I should explain that I sit next to the people who answer the calls into the council. It's pretty amazing what people call in about. The last few days have been quite interesting! Today is fairly staid: catching up with emails and documentation on the ICT contract, sorting out some bits on finances and various bits and pieces. I struggled a bit to find some interesting stuff for this blog. It reminds me of when I was about 12/13: I was given a flash a5 one page to a day diary and I decided that I would fill it in every day. It went well up until 19th Jan (my birthday) after which every day ended up being NEH. I completely missed the point about the diary: its not just about what you do but about what you think and what you feel and what you observe. It's not life-changing, it's not life-determining, it's not about things that startle people but about YOU. So I think I'll get past 19th Jan this year. By the way, NEH? It means, Nothing Exciting Happened. Bloody weird as I had a fantastic childhood. I might refer to some of its aspects in future blogs.
